ClaimWatch and EMACS now seamlessly linked

ClaimWatch Ltd is pleased to announce that its award-winning ClaimWatch® package is now fully integrated with the EMACS bodyshop management system. The comprehensive link has been rigorously tested during a successful six-week pilot across three test sites and is now available to all bodyshops using the EMACS system.

ClaimWatch is an easy to use web-based tracking package that keeps insurers and customers completely up-to-date with the repair status of their vehicle(s) twenty-four hours a day. Motorists receive text messages informing them of the progress of their vehicle repair - and because ClaimWatch is so flexible bodyshops can send as many automatic text messages as necessary and, in line with industry best practice principles, generally opt for a minimum of three. In addition, motorists may also choose to use their secure ID number to access ClaimWatch (via the bodyshop's own website) to check repair progress online.

The majority of bodyshops using ClaimWatch say that there has been a significant reduction in the number of customers calling in to enquire about their vehicle's progress - with most adding that they have been able to utilise the time saved in other areas of their business. Not surprisingly, this automatic updating of customers is one of the most popular features of ClaimWatch.

This efficiency benefit is particularly pertinent to EMACS users. The EMACS system automatically monitors the repair cycle, using the time bookings made by operatives as they complete their part of the repair as the car moves through the bodyshop. Every six minutes the EMACS system automatically updates ClaimWatch with any new information that has been loaded in the preceding six minutes and this means that ClaimWatch is updated with virtually 'real time' data every six minutes without any manual intervention.

As Alan Hargreaves, sales director at EMACS, points out, "The sophisticated yet simple way ClaimWatch utilises text messaging and the internet combines perfectly with EMACS system of automatic updates. Together they put the customer in control, releasing staff from answering dozens of routine queries and giving the bodyshop a very professional image. It really is a win-win situation for everyone."

In terms of communications and transparency between bodyshops and their work providers, AudaTrack complements Audatex' objective to streamline the claims process as it enables work providers to view the status of all their policyholders' vehicles undergoing repair.

One of the bodyshops piloting this link has been Chartwell Bodycraft Centre in Derby (who use ClaimWatch under its AudaTrack branding) and they are also noticing the benefits. Chris Brightmore, managing director, comments, "We've been really pleased with it - we've already noticed a decrease in the number of routine calls we're receiving and this has enabled staff to invest time in the more complex customer calls. Once the system has been customised and installed, data is inputted automatically through the EMACS system and that's been great, no double keying, just happy customers who feel as if we are really caring for them."

Steve Wheele, joint managing director of ClaimWatch, adds, "ClaimWatch has already tracked the repair of more than 35,000 vehicles and its integration with the EMACS software is an important milestone for us. ClaimWatch now seamlessly links to three systems (EMACS, AudaWorkstation and Bodyshop Direct) and there are two more links scheduled for piloting in the next few months. Seamlessly linking with management systems is a really important part of our work, we're delighted that the link with EMACS is now in place and we're confident that EMACS users will soon come to regard it as a vital addition to their software and business processes."
