ClaimWatch improves its SMS texting offer

Following customer feedback, ClaimWatch Ltd has made changes to the default SMS programming on its ClaimWatch system, enhancing it so that all motorists using a ClaimWatch garage for their body repairs will automatically receive five standard text messages at key stages throughout the repair process.

The enhanced system has been designed to keep the motorists completely up-to-date with the repair status of their car. The first text is sent just after a vehicle has been accepted into a ClaimWatch bodyshop and the last one is sent when then repaired car is ready for collection. The enhancements were made on the basis that ‘too much contact is better than not enough’ and have proved very popular in the pilot bodyshops.

A key advantage of ClaimWatch is that it maximises customer care whilst minimising the need for bodyshops to call anxious customers with news of their vehicle. The experience of the pilot bodyshops sending these extra texts has been excellent – all of them report that unnecessary calls were further reduced and they were able to focus their office resource on the more complex claims.

All five auto text messages are pre-written into ClaimWatch, but can be changed at any time. This extra degree of flexibility allows bodyshops the opportunity to further personalise the messages to suit the way they run their own bodyshop. Bodyshops can buy all the texts they need direct from www.claimwatch.co.uk.
Speaking about this latest enhancement, Steve Wheele, Managing Director of ClaimWatch Ltd, says, “Providing motorists with unparalleled levels of customer care has always been a core component of ClaimWatch and this latest change to the SMS texting ability of the system serves to underline how seriously we take this. The five auto texts have proved to be a real winner with our pilot bodyshops and I am sure that they will have wide appeal right across the industry – we are delighted to be offering these to our customers.”

Notes to editors
ClaimWatch is a simple-to-use, web based vehicle repair tracking system backed up with advanced technology. Each ClaimWatch installation is fully customised for each repairer and is fully controlled by that bodyshop’s staff. It works like this: as soon as a job is accepted into a bodyshop, all the details are automatically entered into ClaimWatch. Details are updated by the repairer as the vehicle moves through the repair process and can be accessed via a secure ID number by the vehicle owner. Customers are sent pre-set SMS (text) messages throughout the repair keeping them up to date with the repair, and advising them of its completion date. ClaimWatch has tracked more than 125,000 vehicles and the number is growing rapidly.
