ClaimWatch Press Release
11-Aug-2005

ClaimWatch Ltd signs contract to provide Call 24-7 repairers with ClaimWatch®

ClaimWatch Ltd has signed a contract with Call 24-7, the Stockport based national claims outsourcing company, to roll out its award winning ClaimWatch® package to the 158 bodyshops in the Call 24-7 repair network. ClaimWatch has already started to build the network and the first stage will be completed by the end of August.

Call 24-7 provides a complete range of back-office services for several insurers including the management of claims and associated repair processes. It is keen to embrace new technologies that provide enhanced services for its clients. Call 24-7 is confident that ClaimWatch will facilitate the provision of superior Management Information and audit trails for insurers whilst reducing the non-productive administration time spent at repairers.

ClaimWatch is a simple-to-use, web based vehicle repair tracking system backed up with advanced technology. Each ClaimWatch installation is fully customised for each repairer and is fully controlled by that bodyshop’s staff. For Call 24 -7 it works like this: as soon as a job is accepted into Call 24-7’s network, all the details are automatically entered into ClaimWatch, and when that job is allocated to a specific bodyshop, it only takes one click for the repairer’s screen to be populated with all relevant data. Details are updated by the repairer as the vehicle moves through the repair process and can be accessed via a secure ID number by the vehicle owner and Call 24–7. Customers are also sent pre-set SMS (text) messages throughout the repair, telling them how to log on to ClaimWatch, keeping them up to date with the repair, and advising them of its completion date.

Colin Morris, Call 24-7’s Chief Motor Engineer, says that it was the communication benefits of ClaimWatch that led to its adoption by Call 24-7, commenting, “ClaimWatch undoubtedly improves communication throughout the claim cycle. Our CSIs show that policyholders are generally very happy with the service they receive; up until the point when the job is allocated and the repairer becomes the designated point of contact. Internal pressures often make it hard for bodyshop staff to call customers with updates on their vehicle repair and we wanted a system that makes it easy for repairers to improve the customer communication process – and ClaimWatch absolutely fitted the bill.”

He continues,” We spent two years looking at, and piloting, the available systems and, having examined them, we decided that ClaimWatch was the one that’s tailor made to meet the needs of our customers. It’s a really intelligent use of communication technology and it is its simplicity that is so appealing. The software developers appear to really understand the pressures and realities of the bodyshop and have designed the system to be as simple to use as possible.”

It was an easy system to sell into the network as its benefits are widely recognised amongst the repair community, not least of which are its reliability (no downtime) and the money it can help save on communicating with customers. Call 24-7’s research indicates that the cost saving on a repair job will be between Ł15 and Ł30 per job – and that represents an impressive saving over a month. Call 24-7 repairers are also free to use ClaimWatch for all their work, not just that which they do for Call 24-7.

ClaimWatch will be providing all technical back up and the network will also receive free upgrades, further improving the system.

Steve Wheele, Managing Director of ClaimWatch Ltd, concludes, “We’re obviously delighted to be working with Call 24-7, this contract is great news for us and significantly expands ClaimWatch’s network of bodyshops. We believe it confirms ClaimWatch’s place as the leading communication and tracking tool for the collision repair industry and we’re confident that ClaimWatch will continue to have a positive, and cost saving, impact on the day-to day business of these bodyshops. We’re all looking forward to a long and happy association with Call 24-7.”
